2、A Device Testing Engineer
designs, implements, and executes tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and
performance of electronic devices and systems. They work across various stages
of product development, from hardware to software, to identify and resolve
issues, ensuring the final product meets specifications and industry standards.
They work with internal teams and ODMs to support the tasks needed. They also
work with 3rd party labs that support various Industry Certifications.
Test Planning and Execution
1、Develop, document, and
execute comprehensive test plans, including manual and automated tests, to
validate functionality, performance, and security.
Defect Identification and Reporting
1、Identify, document,
and track defects or malfunctions, and collaborate with development teams to
resolve issues.
Test Environment Setup
1、Set up and maintain test
environments and infrastructure to facilitate testing.
Collaboration and Communication
1、Work closely with
hardware and software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to
ensure successful product development and testing. This includes people
internal and external to the company like ODMs.
Root Cause Analysis
1、Analyze test results to
identify root causes of defects and suggest corrective actions
Process Improvement
1、Identifying areas for
improvement in the testing process, suggesting new tools or methodologies to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Key
Criteria and Requirements
1、Bachelor
degree or higher is acceptable
2、3
yrs of experience as test engineer in similar consumer product industry working
with global partners and US based team members.
3、Candidates
must be analytical and should be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Should be partially fluent in English.
4、Experience
working in a technical, product development environment.
5、Demonstrate
accountability and ownership of performance.
6、Display
exemplary attention to detail
7、Exhibit
excellent problem resolution and critical thinking skills.
8、Able
to demonstrate observable self-drive, and skilled to work independently.
9、Build
and demonstrate expertise – maintain strong product
and process knowledge.
10、Engineering
Tools – JIRA, QXDM, QPST, ADB
etc
11、Lead
Meetings driving action items with Global Organizations ( Teams in China etc )
using tools like Teams/Zoom/Skype etc.
12、Experience
with taking products through Carrier and Regulatory Certification is a Plus.
13、Technical
Knowledge of Cellular and Android ecosystem is a plus ( not a must have ).
